Dorsiflexion assist orthosis

Orthoses can help patients with drop foot lift their foot.

The surface stimulator

This device, which uses functional electrical stimulation (FES), is somewhere between an orthosis and a neuroimplant. The Stimulator can be used in the early phases of rehabilitation as well as long term. It is only used in case of damage to the central nervous system.

The neuroimplant

Another option for functional electrical stimulation is to stimulate the nerves directly by means of a Neuroimplant. Unlike a surface stimulator, the implant remains in the body and is designed for continuous long-term use.
